Privacy Policy for SF-Intel Studio
Effective Date: December 19, 2025
SF-Intel Studio is a developer tool designed to improve productivity within the Salesforce ecosystem. We
value your privacy and do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or Salesforce Org metadata to
any third-party servers.
1. Data Collection and Usage
SF-Intel Studio operates entirely within the user's browser and their authorized Salesforce instance. The
extension does not collect personally identifiable information (PII), health information, or financial data.
- Metadata and Code: Any Apex code or Lightning Web Component metadata accessed through the
extension is processed locally within the IDE window. It is never transmitted to any external servers.
- Authentication: The extension uses your existing Salesforce session to communicate with
Salesforce APIs. Your credentials are never seen, stored, or transmitted by the extension.
2. Permissions Justification
To provide its core functionality, the extension requires certain permissions:
- cookies: Retrives your active Salesforce session ID locally to authenticate API requests to
your Org.
- activeTab: Identifies when you are on a Salesforce page to provide the Launch option.
- scripting: Injects the Launcher button into your Salesforce UI.
- storage: Saves your local workspace state (open tabs and editor drafts) so you don't lose
work.
- host_permissions: Allows the extension to securely communicate with standard Salesforce
Tooling and Metadata APIs.
3. Remote Code and Security
The extension uses the Monaco Editor engine, which requires a sandboxed environment for performance. All code
execution is local. The extension may load standard UI libraries (React/SLDS) from a trusted Content Delivery
Network (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) to ensure stability.
4. Third-Party Services
SF-Intel Studio communicates exclusively with standard Salesforce APIs. No data is shared with any other
third-party services or advertising platforms.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Effective Date" at the
top of this page.
